Our tour starts in the city of Lima, where we will have our first contact with the Inca culture.
The tour brings together some of the main points of interest to offer one of the best tourist packages that travelers will find with which to travel the road to Machu Picchu.
Our staff will pick up the passengers at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima for the transfer to the corresponding hotels.
In the afternoon we will visit the most beautiful streets, squares and avenues in the city, starting with Miraflores Love Park and Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center of Lima’s culture dating back to 400 A. D.
Afterwards we will head to the historical centre to visit two of the city’s main religious buildings: The Cathedral, where the bones of the discoverer and founder of Lima (Francisco Pizarro) and the catacombs of the Santo Domingo Convent are located.
Our staff will pick up the travelers at their respective hotels and transfer them to the airport, where they will take a flight to Cusco.
Our staff will be waiting for your arrival at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport for your transfer to the hotel.
Free day to acclimatize to the altitude of the city exploring the main streets, squares, churches, markets, enjoying the customs, traditions and gastronomy of the city of Cusco.
The third day of the tour we will get up early in the morning to head towards the village of Ollantaytambo located at 2,792 meters above sea level.
We will stock up on everything we need before leaving for Piscacucho (2,750 masl) the start of the Inca Trail at kilometer 82.
The first hike consists of 12 km to get used to the altitude. We will make the first stop in a natural viewpoint from where we will be able to observe the snow-capped Veronica and the archaeological site of Llaqtapata.
We will continue walking to our first campsite in Huayllabamba (3,000 masl).

Approximate time: 5-6 hrs.

We will start early in the morning to face the most intense day of the Inca Trail. We travel through the Huayllabamba Valley reaching Yunca Chimpa. At this point we will ascend by a difficult stretch towards Llullupampa (3,750 masl).
At this point we will make a stop to rest and regain strength before continuing ascending to the highest point of our route: Paso de Warmiwañusca (4,200 meters above sea level).
From here, we will be able to observe the flora and fauna so characteristic of the area.
Afterwards we will begin the descent to Camp Pacaymayo located at 3,600 meters above sea level, where we will rest after this intense day.
Distance: 11 Km.
Approximate time: 6-7 hrs.

Camp: Pacaymayo (3,600 masl)
Highlights: Paso de Warmiwañusca.
Along the route of the fifth day we will find a large number of Inca archaeological ruins distributed along the way. It is a less difficult section, since most of it is descending.
After crossing the first part of the journey we will arrive at the archaeological site of Abra de Runcuracay (3,860 masl). Afterwards we will go to the Inca citadel of Sayacmarca (3,580 masl).
At this point we will make a stop to rest and have lunch. After the rest we will continue towards Abra de Phuyupatamarca (3,700 masl) and visit the best preserved Inca complex of all the way, whose meaning is “in the clouds”.
Later we will head towards Wiñaywayna (2,650 masl), an Inca complex that has a good number of agricultural terraces and religious and urban areas.
At this point we will camp for the night.

Camp: Wiñaywayna (2,650 masl).
Featured: Runcuracay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca and Wiñaywayna.
As every day, early in the morning we will begin our tour of the Inca Trail to reach one of the 7 Wonders of the World: the Machu Picchu.
We will start the journey ascending a narrow stretch of stairs that lead to the Puerta del Sol or Intipuku (2,720 meters above sea level). Once up we will enjoy a spectacular and unique view of a sunrise in Machu Picchu.
We will make a visit accompanied by an official guide through the main points of the Inca citadel, where we will know its temples, its urban and religious enclosures and some of its secrets.
After lunch we will have time to visit Machu Picchu or visit the town of Aguas Calientes.

We suggest booking tickets for Machu Picchu for the following days at the time of booking the tour to avoid any complication from congestion or unavailability.
In an additional visit to Machu Picchu we can visit sectors such as Intipunku or Puerta del Sol, the entrance to the citadel of the Inca Trail.
Travelers who want more intense excursion and decide to visit Huayna Picchu, it is important to keep in mind that there are only 400 daily places to climb the mountain, all of which must be booked in advance.
At the agreed time, we will return to Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

Day 8.- Cusco / Lima
End of our journey. Our staff will transfer passengers to the airport at the agreed time to board the departure flight.
